Based in London and Farnham, I provide wealth management advice to clients from the City, the South East of England - and beyond.

I have been a financial services professional for over 40 years. I graduated from Warwick University in 1982, and after two years working in the Parliamentary Civil Service, joined US investment bank Dean Witter Reynolds as a private client stockbroker specialising in US securities and derivatives.

In 1987, I joined UBS before moving to Exane in Paris 4 years later to build a business advising English-speaking institutional investors on European derivatives and special situations. I returned to the City in 1996 to work for BZW as an analyst and broker. From 1998 to 2001, I was a hedge fund manager with Enskilda Securities Capital Management. I subsequently ran the special situations sales desk at Commerzbank and for the eight years to 2012, was head of Sales and Analytics within the prime brokerage department of global derivatives broker Newedge (co-owned by Societe Generale and Credit Agricole).

In 2012, I observed that it was becoming increasingly difficult to find high quality personal financial advice. By joining St. James's Place, I have been able to combine my extensive investment experience with the expertise and culture of St. James's Place. Together with the range of specialist knowledge and help available within the Partnership, I am confident that I can provide individuals, families, and companies with the right advice and guidance to cover all their financial needs.

Having worked as a financial analyst and fund manager, I am particularly impressed with the St. James's Place investment management approach which I believe is both distinctive and effective. I am a father of two children and understand the challenges, financial and otherwise, which parenthood, marriage, and divorce involves. In the spare time I have, I enjoy motorcycling, ruinous old cars and the odd game of tennis. I am also something of a historian, of the markets and otherwise.
