About

Based in Bingley, I provide wealth management advice to clients across Yorkshire and Cumbria.

I have worked within the Financial Services all of my working life beginning in 1978 as a Mortgage Administrator at the Head Office of Bradford & Bingley Building Society where I secured well rounded knowledge of all aspects of Mortgage Lending and Administration.

Ten years later I become a Branch Manager at Skipton Building Society and ran various Branches within the West Yorkshire area. During my time with Skipton Building Society I provided mortgage advice to customers and developed many local professional contacts who passed mortgage business to myself. Whilst in this role I successfully passed my FPC exams and, whilst tied with Legal & General and then Aviva, I also provided full financial planning advice to Building Society customers for Investments, Pensions and Protection in addition to mortgages and Branch management.

In 1998 I moved to Aviva where I provided financial advice to customers within various Leeds & Holbeck Branches in the West Yorkshire area and later Nottingham Building Society in South Yorkshire and Derbyshire. Advice was mostly investment and protection based and I helped numerous customers achieve their goals.

After a period of self-employment within a family IFA business I re-joined Leeds Building Society providing financial advice to customers within a number of their Branches, originally tied to Aviva but more recently with Legal & General. I have built trusted relationships with my customers over many years.

I am committed to ensuring that my industry knowledge remains relevant and current by placing strong emphasis on my personal development. This, along with the pride and dedication that I place on developing solid personal relationships with my clients ensures I am able offer a rounded, professional and principled service.

Fundamentally I see my approach as one of problem-solving for the client - rather than product-selling. As a result, my clients can expect to receive the most comprehensive and appropriate advice at all times.

Outside of my business, I play 5 a side football each week and enjoy all sports. I now have 6 grandchildren and enjoy family life.
