About
Matt founded Birkett Financial Planning in 2019 and is very proud of how the business has grown since that time. He is passionate about financial planning and helping people to take control of their finances. His entire working life, including an early career within elite sport and latterly in the financial sector, has been built on a desire to help, guide and support people to be the very best they can be. To think and plan longer-term to achieve their goals and aspirations.
Matt has a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Central Lancashire and prior to joining the Financial Services industry, worked for 15 years in the sports sector, operating in senior executive roles for two of the biggest National Governing Bodies in the UK.
Matt enjoys living an active lifestyle and can often be found appreciating the outdoors, spending time with friends and family or supporting his children with their various hobbies and sporting activities.
