Prior to joining the financial services industry, I ran a successful business consulting firm in the Middle East providing management consulting services to start-ups and established businesses. The latter five years in this role was spent setting up and helping to run investment based companies.
Upon returning to the UK in 2010 I immediately set up my own IFA firm. As well as starting a business from scratch I set about qualifying for Chartered Status, a qualification held by a small percentage of advisers. Having attained Chartered Status, I then went on to attain Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society, the highest qualification awarded by the CII. Not satisfied with Fellowship status, I have implemented elements of Life and Financial Coaching into my advice process to further improve the outcome for my clients.
One of the most enjoyable parts of my work is helping clients to become more involved in the entire planning process and providing them with the tools to make better decisions. I am especially pleased if I have been able to help clients make the transition from a pure accumulation focus to one of lifestyle driven financial planning and management.
The bonus for me however is the welcome I get from my clients’ dogs. Some have known me for almost 10 years and some are new to me. Such is the welcome that I have decided to dedicate a page to all my canine friends.
