William Sallitt

I have worked for over 30 years with clients to understand their personal and financial objectives, consider options and provide solutions. Over this time, some things have changed - the rules on taxation, regulatory requirements, information technology, and client expectations. However, the fundamentals remain the same - meeting face-to-face, building relationships and giving a personalised, tailored service to real people.

About

I have the experience, attitude and knowledge to be your Trusted Adviser - here’s why.

Three years in the Royal Engineers as a Troop Commander gave me an early introduction to minefields and other obstacles; this has prepared me well for the challenging terrain of Financial Services.

I am a Chartered Financial Planner, which is the qualification that most advisers aspire to getting, and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. I spent five years as Chartered Champion for the London region, delivering events to other Chartered Financial Planners to improve knowledge and skills.

I am also a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). This difficult qualification raised my level of competence and strengthened relationships with solicitors, accountants and other relevant professionals. Estate planning provides some common ground and I have built up many excellent contacts over the years.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with our young boy and on my allotment. When I am able to, I like to play cricket and ride. A big part of my life was the Honourable Artillery Company, a Reservist regiment with whom I served for 19 years, including commanding One Squadron and time spent overseas in Iraq. The contrast of juggling my military role with civilian life fulfilled me physically and mentally. I also enjoyed leading a team in the Three Peaks Challenge, raising money for a medical charity.

Prestigious industry status recognises the value I place on my development and gives clients the confidence that they are supported by one of the UK’s leading wealth professionals.
