Based in Lymm and Manchester City Centre, I provide wealth management advice to clients within the city and further afield throughout the Cheshire & North West area. Dealing with a host of individuals and companies, my aim is to help clients grow and expand their portfolios.
Born and bred in Manchester, Simon began his career here in the UK but soon moved abroad where he gained extensive experience in offshore banking. After working across Europe in Spain, Scandinavia, Germany, Malta and Greece, Simon acquired an excellent understanding of European tax with respect to investments and savings.
Education is important to Simon – and his own experience coupled with a range of industry-specific qualifications and strong ethical responsibility helps to set him apart from the rest. He is currently studying for his Masters in Wealth Management – and as a consequence offers expertise and insight that only a small minority of financial professionals in the country are able to provide.
In line with his professional background, he has focused on developing specialist knowledge and is fully qualified as an estate planning Partner.
Additionally as a representative of St. James's Place Wealth Management, his service is enhanced and complemented by the provision of advice covering investments, Inheritance Tax planning and retirement strategies.
Simon puts the client first without exception, wanting the best for them and their money.
His decision to occupy a career in this industry is not financially-motivated or in pursuit of high personal wealth - which is why he adopts a client-centred approach. Instead of being concerned with his own gains, he is passionate about helping his clients get the very best potential returns for their money and loves to share uniquely tailored solutions with his clients helping them to nurture and grow their wealth. Simon cares about his clients and is motivated by success, aiming to gain the potential returns for those who place their trust in him.
During his time in offshore banking working with German and Scandinavian clients, Simon learnt and understood the value of not being a transactional advisor, also seeing the benefit of sitting down on a quarterly or monthly basis to discuss the client’s financial needs and to find out whether anything has changed in their circumstances in order to assess what is best for them. This is now something he implements into his own practice, making time to see clients as often as they wish to discuss their current situation.
Simon has over two decades’ experience in dealing with high net worth clients and is comfortable dealing with large amounts of money, mostly working with portfolios of over a million. However his portfolio is wide-ranging from thousands of pounds into the millions, with specific experience with higher value accounts and ultra-high net worth.
Simon has a strong business ethic and wants the best for his clients, using his knowledge to make the most of clients’ investment opportunities with the aim of providing the best potential returns for their money.
Simon also has a wealth of commercial experience, specifically with larger companies and SMEs. From pension schemes to auto-enrolment policies, Simon can discuss a host of opportunities with company directors which they may not have been aware of previously. From the outset, he can clearly see where there may be tax efficient aspects of a business which owners can benefit from. Simon has numerous professional relationships with a wide variety of commercial clients - he often works alongside clients' own solicitors and accountants providing a complementary service and a fresh perspective to ensure that all aspects of their financial affairs are considered.
