I am a Chartered Financial Planner and a pension specialist having passed the Chartered Insurance Institute G60 Pensions Examination.
Throughout my career in financial services, I have specialised in tax efficient investments, advising both individuals, trusts and businesses.
The value of an investment with St. James's Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested.
I began my career in 1986 with Mike Osborne Insurance Services Ltd. This company was taken over by Johnson Fry Financial Services Ltd and I was appointed an associate director. I left in 1992 and set up my own financial services firm, Lycett Law Ltd. In 1993 I merged this company with 3 other businesses. This company then acquired the Fraser Smith Group Ltd in 1994 which became one of the leading financial services companies in the Southeast. In 1997 I bought out the Midlands office of Fraser Smith and merged this with Ashwood Law becoming business development partner. Ashwood Law grew into a leading directly regulated IFA firm in the Midlands. During this time, I created a joint venture company with 3 leading Midlands' law firms. In 2003 I was bought out by my fellow partners and enjoyed an 18-month sabbatical in the States.
I returned to the UK in 2005 and set up my current financial services practice, Lycett Financial Planning, which is a Senior Partner Practice of St. James's Place.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, walking, golf and shooting.
The Partner Practice is an Appointed Representative of and represents only St. James's Place Wealth Management plc (which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority) for the purpose of advising solely on the Group’s wealth management products and services, more details of which are set out on the Group’s website www.sjp.co.uk/products. The ‘St. James's Place Partnership’ and the titles ‘Partner’ and ‘Partner Practice’ are marketing terms used to describe St. James's Place representatives.
